Titterington's Baking Company Commitment to Quality

 

It is the intent of Titterington's Baking Company to consistently produce safe, high quality products that meet all federal, state and local laws.

 

Emphasis has and will continue to be placed on meeting specifications through controlled processes and appropriate Quality Assurance techniques. The company will maintain and strive for continuous improvements of all systems including; Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Food Safety Sty stems, Good manufacturing practices (GMPS), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPS), Food Security and Quality Control.  This Statement reflects the commitment of Titterington's senior management and staff to achieve this Quality Policy.

 

We have a very active Quality Assurance Team at Titterington's, continually performing Quality and food safety checks throughout production.  Each product passes a number of production and quality control personnel before being shipped.  We utilize seven Quality Control production employees to continuously perform quality checks during each in-process step in the flow of our product from receiving to shipping.  We also have four Quality Assurance Technicians on duty constantly validating the implementation and success of our quality and food safety assurance programs.  Our Quality Assurance Team is managed by an individual with thiry-four years of experience in the food safety and quality assurance with an excellent balance of experience between regulatory and industry.

 

 

R&D / Product Development

Product Development is a TEAM effort at Titterington's involving R&D, Operations, Production, Sales & Marketing, and Quality Assurance.  We have food scientists and bakers together with over 50 years of combined experience.

 

With the FDA mandate that all trans fats be declared by 2006, Titterington's approach has been to keep all new products trans fat free or formulated to have minimal amounts of trans fat.  We use only sweet, creamy butter or Palm fruit oil for new bakery products. In keeping with today's trends of healthy living, many new product developments are being formulated with whole grains.  These will be eligible for "a good source of whole grains" as defined by the Whole Grains Council.

 

Titterington's Baking Company is committed to customer service.  Our highly trained, knowledgeable staff is able to provide R&D and technical support for all levels of baking and manufacturing.  The company also provides private label and custom formulations to meet the customers needs and expectations.
